I started working in customer service in the third grade.
No, really. My first job was at my neighbor's snow cone stand.
(Pina Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri mix was my favorite flavor blend, in case you're wondering)
Within a few weeks I'd noticed their inventory system wasn't working. Within a few months I'd rebuilt their entire operation.
I was eight years old. I guess it's just in my blood.
After 30 years in customer service, operations, and project management, I found myself running on empty, holding up corporations that gave me nothing back.
So I made a decision.
I took everything I'd built and rebuilt over three decades and pointed it somewhere that actually mattered: toward the women building businesses of their own.
Because I kept seeing the same thing. Brilliant, capable, hard-working women, successful by every measure, running themselves into the ground keeping everything together by sheer force of will.
Stressed. Joyless. Wondering when it was supposed to start feeling like freedom.
That's where I come in.
Watching a woman go from overwhelmed and hopeless to calm, clear, and growing, that's the most fulfilling work I've ever done. And I've been doing this since the third grade.
I believe every woman deserves a business that grants her freedom, not just more responsibility.
Women are on track to own over 40% of businesses by 2027. I want to be part of making that number soar.
When women succeed, the world is a better place. I'm here to help make that a reality.
As your online business manager and fractional COO, I handle the operational infrastructure that keeps your business running, so you can focus on the work only you can do
You're a female founder who is scaling or already successful. Making real revenue, serving great clients, and somehow still stretched completely thin.
You value freedom. Not the Instagram version. The real kind. Time to think. Energy to spare. Money that actually stays. Boundaries that actually hold.
You care about doing things right, not just fast. You want growth that feels sustainable, not another season of urgency, chaos, and catching up on weekends.
You're honest with yourself. You make decisions. You follow through. And when someone shows you a better way to do something, you don't resist it, you run with it.
You're not looking for someone to hand you a template and wish you luck. You want a real partner who understands your business, respects your time, and builds something that actually lasts.
That's exactly who I work with. And if it's you, I'd love to meet you.
Freedom is the whole point.
I didn't start Other Laine to build another agency. I built it because I believe every woman in business deserves to actually experience the freedom she's working toward, not just talk about it. Every system I build, every process I design, every decision I make for your business is filtered through one question: does this give her more freedom, or does it take it away?
Everything is custom. Always
Your business isn't a template and neither is my work. I don't show up with a pre-built system and force your operations to fit around it. I learn how your business actually works. The real version, not the polished one, and I build around that. What I create for you will look nothing like what I built for the client before you. That's intentional.
I treat your business like its my own
That means I show up prepared, I pay attention to the details, and I care about the outcome as much as you do. It also means I'll tell you the truth even when it's not what you want to hear, because honest feedback delivered with care is more valuable than comfortable advice that keeps you stuck.
I build things that outlast me
The goal was never for you to need me forever. The goal is to build infrastructure so solid, so clear, and so aligned with how you work that your business runs beautifully whether I'm in it or not. When we're done, you own it completely. No dependency. No mystery.
Just a business that works.
Your time and energy are sacred. So are mine.
I work with a small number of clients at a time, intentionally. It's the only way I can give every business the attention it deserves. I come prepared and I ask the same of you. Not because I'm rigid, but because your time is too valuable to waste on sessions that could have been an email. We're here to do real work together. That requires both of us to show up fully.
Boundaries aren't limitations. They're the foundation
The healthiest client relationships I've had are built on clarity; clear expectations, clear communication, and mutual respect for each other's time and space. I hold my boundaries firmly and I'll help you hold yours. Because a business built on clear boundaries is a business that actually lasts.
